Threat Assessment
What is the risk? Who or what is the most likely target and
what are their capabilities? That is the role of a threat assessment. A
threat assessment involves creating a threat model to identify known or
perceived threats to the company, group, or individual. Data is
collected, threats are analyzed, and vulnerabilities are identified.
Based upon the results, probable scenarios are created and
countermeasures are implemented as required. The protection plan is developed
from this assessment to reduce the risk to our client.
It allows better utilization of resources and manpower in
dealing with threats and should be the basis of an effective
protection plan.
